Dr.
Abdul-Aziz A. M. Wazzan,
Vice
Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research,

of Engineering
Dr. Wazzan is the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific
Research at the Faculty of Engineering – KAU.
He is a professor of polymer technology in the Chemical &
Materials Engineering Department, with sophisticated research interests
concerning composite and toughened materials, physco-mechanical properties of
rubber vulcanizates, and natural fiber reinforced composites. He has extensive experience via
consultation with the Saudi Post, Ministry of Hajj, Jeddah Oil Refinery, and
the Ministry of Transportation. Dr.
Wazzan holds a Master’s (1991) and PhD (1995) in Polymer Engineering from the
University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), and
earned his Bachelor’s in Engineering from King Abdul-Aziz University in
1987. While being appointed as an
administrator and serving on a number of administrative bodies, including as
Chairman of the Chemical& Materials Engineering Department, Vice Chairman
of Academic Affairs (FoE), and General Secretary of the Department Council
(FoE), Dr. Wazzan has also maintained his presence on an array of university
committees, earning him certified merits of appreciation.
