KAU bags Saudi e-Government Achievement Award

Adding another feather to its cap, King Abdulaziz University (KAU) has won the Saudi e-Government Achievement Award in its third edition.

The Saudi e-Government Achievement Award is designed to inspire and be a catalyst for government entities to cooperate and implement e-services for better serving our community.

Prof Osama S. Tayyeb, KAU President, received the award from HRH Prince Muqrin ibn Abdulaziz, deputy crown prince  and second deputy prime minister, at a special prize-giving ceremony held at King Fahd Cultural Centre in Riyadh.

The award, according to Prof Tayyeb, adds to KAU's catalogue of achievements and bears witness to its successful transition into an electronic environment.

In statements following the awards ceremony, Dr Khalid Husain, Dean of Information Technology, attributed the achievement to the electronic revolution KAU was witnessing and its commitment to developing its IT infrastructure and transforming itself into a paperless university.
