Effective Presentations

Introduction: Presentations provide an opportunity to put across your point and showcase your potentialities and make an impact as a professional. The course aims at inculcating effective presentation skills among students to help them in their professional careers. Its basic features are as follows:
§ Choose a topic you can talk about
§ Create a structure: Introduction, body and conclusion
§ Practice, practice, practice
§ Read your presentation and critique yourself
§ Anticipate questions and prepare answers
§ Give a good start to your presentation
§ Pace, pause, fillers
§ What does the audience see?

By the end of the workshop the attendants should be able to:
1. Plan for a presentation
2. 4. Identify what to do while designing a PowerPoint
3. Avoid certain things while giving a presentation
4. Deliver a presentation
5. Conclude a presentation
