Dr. Kinsara
is the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at KAU, and professor of Nuclear
Engineering. Dean Kinsara has extensive experience within the college which
has yielded many accolades, including as Director of Higher Studies and
Scientific Research (FoE), Vice-Dean of Finance and Administration (FoE),
Vice Dean for Development & Total Quality (FoE), and his current role as
KAU Engineering Dean. In addition, he has held senior positions under
broader university auspices, including as Chairman of KAU Radiation Safety,
Dean of English Language Institute (ELI), General Supervisor for KAU Services
Department, and as consultant to the Millennium Modern Institute for
Administration & Training.
After receiving a Bachelor’s in Nuclear Engineering at KAU in 1983, he earned
both a Master’s and PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the University of
Missouri – Colombia, in 1987 and 1991, respectively. Dean Kinsara
teaches a variety of nuclear engineering courses, including NE351, NE451,
NE498, while supervising undergraduate and graduate projects, theses, and
training.
