to the Faculty of Engineering at KAU!
As we continue to excel in industry inspired learning and research
through application, KAU Engineering is positioned to tackle the humanitarian
and industrial challenges of the 21st Century. With the ultimate goal of positioning our students
to being the top employable engineers in the field, with the latest industry
capacities and utmost ethical standards, KAU Engineering graduates ultimately
stand to make a true difference in the region and beyond, as capable global
citizens well equipped to improve the overall human condition.
Rooted in our commitment
to student-centered education, applied research, and societal development, the
Faculty of Engineering at KAU champions renowned case-based research by
its esteemed faculty, and visiting scholars’ joint-studies. It is with our close relations and
collaborations with highly recognized academic institutions and industries that
a wealth of our research-based resources and options are
continuing to significantly impact regional communities. From our Ministry of Higher Education
sponsored Center of Excellence in Water
Desalination, to our Center of
Excellence in Intelligence Engineering Systems (CEIES) and our innovative fabrication laboratories, KAU
Engineering’s scientific and technical footprint is left in a wide array
of arenas.
Since its establishment
in 1975, the Faculty of Engineering has endeavored to build upon its parent institution’s core values of enriching
society through cultural prominence, scientific acumen and pioneering
research. In doing so, it has afforded
itself an invaluable amount of administrative and monetary support, receiving
up to 67 million SAR in funding for research and further program
development. Twelve out of fourteen
programs of the Faculty of Engineering’s eight departments
are accredited by ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and
Technology), and undergo rigorous program evaluations on a continuous basis to
maintain this elite status.
Where engineering excellence, scientific research, and
technical innovation meet leadership and quality, is where you are guaranteed
